LEARNING ENGLISH AND THE ART OF LANGUAGE WITH LEW
About Me
Hello Wonderful People, I'm Mr. Lewis
Welcome to my corner of the internet! I'm thrilled you've stopped by to get to know me a little better.
Who Am I?
I'm a 8th Grade ELA Teacher with a passion for engaging, enjoying, and ultimately learning academics with the ultimate aim of changing the character of people. I enjoy working out, painting, drawing, spending time with my wife and kids, and reading a book [on kindle of course].
I believe in the power of perseverance, growth and commitment to being the best version of yourself, you know how to be. I believe education is a noun, a verb and an adjective. Education is a responsibility one has to himself/herself/themself and their community. Education is a state of being and at the same time, a process. It is a commitment and a journey. A human should consider education the ongoing challenge of academia and life. Education occurs on Ivy League campuses, in prison doors, in summer camps, during pillow talks with the spouse, on playgrounds in the sand and in the conflict that opposing opinions bring. It often, in challenge, where humans receives the greatest clarity of what they believe. In the Lewis household, we call this continual yes to the question of whether you choose to learn again or not, the Lifelong learner. I am dedicated to challenging, equipping, and building any community I am blessed to be apart of.
My journey has been a unique one, filled with experiences and lessons that have shaped me into the person I am today. Come get to know me little and maybe one day I will tell you my whole E. True Hollywood Story.
